The feature can be used to link to web pages in stories.

Instagram started testing link stickers in June, but until now the feature has been limited to users who have a blue check mark or have more than 10,000 followers.

The platform has now announced that the capability is rolling out to everyone.

The link stickers are a replacement for the swipe up function.

Previously, users had to swipe their thumbs up on their smartphone screen to open a link, but this option disappeared in August.

At the time, Instagram said it was removing the ability to "streamline the story creation experience".

Through the stickers, the company wants to "provide more creative control".
