As of this year, 600 mountain accidents have occurred in Gangwon alone so far, and messages of gratitude for the swift rescue efforts of the Gangwon Fire Department continue to give warmth.

The Gangwon-do Fire Department announced on the 26th that it has dispatched 593 mountain rescues so far this year and rescued 701 people.

In particular, as the autumn leaves begin to change and hikers continue to visit the famous mountains in Gangwon-do, mountain rescuers are starting to get busy.

Accordingly, on the 'Praise' bulletin board of the Gangwon-do Fire Department's website, messages are being posted one after another to thank the rescue workers for their hard work.

Last September, an article titled 'Thank you to the Mountain Rescue Teams in the Pan-East Sea' was posted on the Gangwon-do Fire Department's website.

The author said, "I'm writing this because I'm so shy and sorry that I wanted to say thank you."

In addition, the author who posted a post titled 'Thank you to the 119 members of the Taebaek and Samcheok Fire Stations who did rescue activities on October 2nd' said, "I will never forget the light shining in the pitch-black valley around 3 in the morning." Thanks to that, I was able to return to the warm home where my family was waiting."

In addition, 'Thanks to Ahn Young-jae and Ahn Tae-young, members of the Hwandonghae Special Mountain Rescue Team for helping in a scary moment', 'I would like to express my gratitude to the Seoraksan Air Rescue Team and the 119 transport team', 'Thank you for helping me late at night', etc. Letters of thanks from family members are being shared one after another.

In response to the compliments that followed, Director Yoon Sang-gi of the Gangwon-do Fire Department said, "I am deeply grateful to the rescued people for not forgetting them and leaving comments of praise."

This is a 'news pick'.
