When people search the Google engine, they are usually satisfied with the first or second result.

Motivated people will look at the first few pages of results, but they usually won't go any further.

This shows how optimizing search results has made users reluctant to search for more sources or proposals.

Google, however, wants to change these consumption habits by saying goodbye to results pages and replacing them with continuous scrolling.

Now, when a user reaches the bottom of a search results page on their phone, the following results will load automatically, just like they do on social media.

It will be interesting to see whether this new way of delivering search results will change search habits or not.

Gradual deployment

The functionality will initially be reserved for the Google application and absent from browsers.

For the moment, only the United States and Great Britain benefit from this new functionality.

It will be extended to other countries soon.
