As for the type of dating violence, physical violence such as beatings was 34.4%, emotional violence such as gaslighting was 21.5%, and verbal violence such as threats was 18.4%.



However, 8 out of 10 victims responded that they did not report even though they were harmed.



As for the reason for not reporting, 29.7% answered that they did not think they would be punished, followed by 'promise to prevent recurrence' (21.5%) and 'because of fear of retaliation' (17.6%).



75.6% of respondents said that the current level of punishment for dating violence is low.



According to the police, over 81,000 reports of dating violence have been received across the country in the past five years.
