The Taiwanese company "Foxconn", the manufacturer of the "iPhone" of the famous "Apple" brand, announced its entry into the world of electric vehicles, by unveiling at once three test models, which came in cooperation with the Taiwanese "Yulon Motor" company.

Two of Foxconn's concept models bear the names "Model C" and "Model E", which derive from two famous names of the two classic Ford models, while the third Model T belongs to the large city bus category.

In terms of design lines, the Model C imitates the SUV category, while the Model E, which belongs to the luxury sedan category, carries design lines from the famous Italian Pininfarina brand.

Foxconn confirmed, according to the company's vice president, Aso Shi Sen, that the production of the three electric models will be in the US state of Ohio, after the purchase of the Lordstown electric vehicle factory, which complemented the purchase of another semiconductor factory in Taiwan two months ago.

"The expected value of (Foxconn) electric cars will reach one trillion Taiwan dollars within the next five years, equivalent to 35 billion dollars, in light of legitimate ambitions to play a major role in the automotive sector," Aso Shi Sen, Vice President of "Foxconn" said in a press statement. electric power in the world.

He added, "Our interest in the electric vehicle sector began in November 2019, before moving quickly, as this year we announced deals to build cars in America."

And he concluded: “The sedan (Model E) will be sold in the global markets, in a model under development with the Italian company (Pininfarina), while the sale of (Model C) is limited to the Taiwanese market and under one of the trademarks of the (Yolun) company, which is scheduled to It will reach the market in 2023, while the bus (Model T) will start operating next year, in partnership with the local transportation service provider.”
