Regarding the incident on the 18th that two employees of a company in Seocho-gu, Seoul, drank bottled water and lost consciousness, the poison mixed with bottled water is presumed to be 'sodium azide'.

Prior to this incident, on the 10th, another employee of the company collapsed from drinking soda, and it was confirmed that 'sodium azide' was detected in this soda.

At that time, it was known that the company commissioned a specialized agency to analyze the ingredients in the carbonated beverage.

The police are investigating an employee of the company, who was found dead at home after absenteeism, as a suspect, and 'sodium azide' was also found in the employee's house.

'Sodium azide' is mainly used as a raw material for agricultural pesticides and fungicides, but it dissolves well in water and has no special color.

The police have requested the National Fruit Service to analyze the bottled water that the two fallen employees drank.
