This is a record compiled for 4 hours from 8:00 PM to 12:00 PM the day before reservations for ages 12-15 started.
Previously, for those aged 16-17 (born 2004-2005), the reservation rate was 20.8% as 186,855 out of 889,784 subjects made a reservation within 4 hours of the first day of pre-booking for vaccination. Reservations are relatively low.
Jung-ik Hong, head of the vaccination management team for the promotion group, said, "We have to give ourselves enough time to think about this, so the reservation period is about one month."
The authorities recommend vaccination for children and adolescents with underlying diseases, but in healthy cases, they are allowed to choose the vaccination voluntarily.
Team leader Hong added, "We will provide accurate and correct information so that parents and students can fully consider and vaccinate without making hasty decisions so that they can make a rational decision."
The 12-15 year old vaccination schedule will continue until the 12th of next month, and the Pfizer vaccine will be given from the 1st to the 27th of the next month.
