The court's interrogation to decide whether to release the former Seongnam Urban Development Corporation's planning director Yoo Dong-gyu, who was arrested on charges of bribery and other charges related to the Daejang-dong development lobbying case, ended in an hour.

Seoul Central District Court Criminal Case Division 8-3 Division Chief Judge Jang Yun-sun Kim Ye-young Kim Seong-hak On the afternoon of the 19th, Deputy Chief Judge Jang Seong-hak held a detention trial against Yoo for about an hour, and ended around 3:20 pm.

The detention trial is a process in which a suspect arrested in the investigation stage fights for the legality of detention and requests his release from the court.

A decision is usually made within 24 hours from the end of the interrogation, and it is expected that the release of General Yoo Jeon will be decided today.

Yoo, who arrived at the court in a convoy, explained the injustice of the arrest to the court.

In particular, he argued that there was a problem in the constitution of the law regarding the alleged breach of trust, which caused at least 110 billion won in damage to the city of Seongnam, and that the amount of breach calculated by the prosecution was not accurate.

In addition, in relation to the bribery allegations, it is reported that the prosecution had to prove in detail whether the money was actually transferred and whether the money was paid for.

On the other hand, the prosecution is known to have expressed its opposition to the release of former general manager Yoo.

The prosecution, who arrested Yoo on the 3rd, extended the arrest period once.

The period of detention for former Director Yoo expires tomorrow, and the prosecution plans to prosecute him before that.
