<Anchor> We will

continue to look at the breaking news of the investigation into allegations of preferential treatment for development in Daejang-dong. Attorney Nam-wook, who returned to Korea early this morning after staying in the United States, was arrested at Incheon International Airport. For more information, we will connect with a reporter covering the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office.

Reporter Youngjae Hong, then, does lawyer Nam Wook go straight from the airport to the prosecution and are still being investigated?

<Reporter>

Attorney Nam Wook was arrested at around 5 am today, and has been under investigation for 13 hours at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office behind me.

The charges applied by the prosecution in arresting lawyer Nam include promises to pay bribes and breach of trust under the Act on Aggravated Punishment for Specific Economic Crimes.

In connection with the Daejang-dong project, it is said that he promised to pay a bribe to the former general manager Yoo Dong-gyu and caused huge damage to Seongnam City.

Since Kim Man-bae completely denies the transcripts submitted by accountant Jeong Young-hak, the prosecution is known to be intensively inquiring about the allegations of preferential treatment and lobbying from lawyer Nam.

So, when do you think the prosecution will request a warrant for lawyer Nam Wook?

<Reporter> Since the

time limit for arrest is 48 hours, the prosecution is expected to request an arrest warrant as early as tomorrow.

Lawyer Nam also remarked that he gave money to former general manager Yoo, and as there are suspicions of escaping from the United States, the warrant request seems a natural procedure.

However, as the arrest warrant for Kim Man-bae was hastily requested and dismissed, it is known that the prosecution is preparing more carefully to prove the charges against Nam.

And the detained former general manager Yoo Dong-gyu asked for a review to see if the arrest was legal?

<Reporter>

Yoo Dong-gyu, the former general manager, is due to be detained the day after tomorrow.

The prosecution has to go to trial until then, but today, former general manager Yoo applied to the court to reconsider the legality of his arrest.

The examination will be held at the Seoul Central District Court tomorrow afternoon, and if this happens, the expiration of the detention period will be delayed by at least one day.

Seeing that Kim Man-bae's warrant was dismissed, it is interpreted that former general manager Yoo also seeks the court's judgment once again.
