court dismissed the arrest warrant for Kim Man-bae, the owner of Hwacheon Daeyu, the central figure in the suspicion of preferential treatment for Daejang-dong development.

The Seoul Central District Court explained the reason for dismissing the warrant, saying that while there is a great need to guarantee the right of defense of the suspect, the necessity of arrest is difficult to say has been sufficiently explained.

Kim, along with former general manager Yoo Dong-gyu, who has already been arrested, inflicted 110 billion won in damages to Seongnam City, promised 70 billion won in return, was charged with bribes of 75.5 billion won, and embezzled 5.5 billion won of company money. I am being charged with one.

However, as the arrest warrant for Kim was dismissed, a setback in the prosecution's investigation became inevitable.

The fact that there is not enough additional evidence to prove Kim's allegations other than the so-called recording file of accountant Jeong Young-hak, which is the key evidence in this case, seems to have played a major role in the background of the court's dismissal of the arrest warrant.

In fact, it is known that Kim's side insisted that the recording of accountant Jeong was edited and emphasized that there was no evidence in the warrant review.

Accordingly, it is expected that the prosecution will focus its investigative power on securing other additional evidence in the future and carefully review whether to request a warrant for Kim again.

The prosecution's inability to secure Kim's new recruit is also expected to disrupt the prosecution's investigation into people who are suspected of bribery, including Rep. Kwak Sang-do.
