Today (11th), the end of the holiday, news of accidents at sea followed one after another. In Tongyeong, Gyeongsangnam-do, a fishing boat carrying 12 people capsized and the Coast Guard began rescue operations, and in Busan, a leisure boat carrying 9 people abruptly overturned.

Today, around 12:10 pm, a report was received that a 4.5 ton fishing boat carrying 12 people was capsized in the sea about 8 km east of Maemuldo, Tongyeong-si, Gyeongsangnam-do.



The Coast Guard rescued all 12 people, but it is said that their lives are not in danger.



The Coast Guard believes that the ship that went out to sea for skin scuba, etc., was overturned due to the rising waves as the weather worsened.



At around 11:10 am today, a 5-ton leisure boat capsized and sank in the waters near Namhyeong Island, Busan.



Nine people on the boat fell into the water in the accident and were rescued an hour later.



The Coast Guard believes the boat capsized as a sudden large amount of seawater rushed into the boat.



At around 6:20 a.m. today, a 9-ton fishing boat collided with a rock in the sea off Songdo, Yeosu, injuring 20 people, including the captain and passengers.



Three people, including the captain, were seriously injured in the accident and taken to hospital.
