Thomas Pesquet made a mistake by uploading a photo taken from space on his Facebook page this Friday.

"Fécamp, another popular holiday resort in Normandy, not far from where I grew up", he wrote in particular in the caption of the cliché.

It is however a photo of another city of Seine-Maritime, Dieppe, which he shared with his fans, reports

In the part of his commentary written in English, Thomas Pesquet nevertheless reminded Internet users that he knew this part of the country well.

He thus evoked "the north-west of France and of course its most beautiful region, Normandy".

Thomas Pesquet went to high school in Dieppe

The astronaut took care to point out with humor that the fact of having “grown up there” did not make him “absolutely […] biased”.

Thomas Pesquet, who is currently on board the International Space Station (ISS), was indeed born in Rouen.

He even did part of his schooling at Jehan Ango high school which is located in Dieppe.
