Yang Mo (29, male), who raped and abused and murdered an infant under two years of age, was found to have fled to escape police pursuits and stole money after the crime.

According to the police today (23rd), Yang hurriedly ran from his residence in Daedeok-gu, Daejeon, barefoot, on July 9, in order not to meet a police officer who received a 112 report to the effect that '(Yang, etc.) seems to have abused the child'. I hit it.

The report was made by another family member of the child.

At the time, the body of a 20-month-old infant was found in the bathroom of Yang's residence.

The child was the real daughter of a 25-year-old woman who lived with Yang, but it was revealed that she was trampled and beaten to death by Yang around June 15th.

Yang was investigated for forcibly molesting and even sexually assaulting the victim before he was abused and killed.

Yang, who had disappeared somewhere in Daejeon, entered an empty house in the middle of the night and started stealing, such as carrying shoes.

He hid himself, such as stealing food, and was arrested by the police at a motel in Dong-gu, Daejeon three days after escaping.

The police handed over the charges of fraud, building trespassing at night, house trespassing at night, and theft to Yang, who had been indicted early on charges such as child abuse and murder.

Prosecutors also charged additional charges on the same charges.

Yang's case is being tried by the 12th Criminal Division of the Daejeon District Court (Chief Judge Yoo Seok-cheol).

The voices of severe punishment for the accused are growing, centering on civic groups.

Appeals are also pouring into the courts.

Members of the Korean Association for the Prevention of Abuse of Children are holding a picket protest in front of the court to commemorate the victim and request the sentence of the maximum sentence in court for Yang.

The number of people who signed a petition to the Blue House (www1.president.go.kr/petitions/600929) in the hopes for the disclosure of Yang's identity and strong punishment reached 200,000.
