<Reporter> There were

1,910 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 yesterday.

It fell below 2,000 in three days, but as of the weekend, the number of confirmed cases is the highest since the outbreak of Corona 19 in Korea.

Excluding 39 cases imported from overseas, 1,871 cases were domestically infected.

The phenomenon of concentrating patients in the metropolitan area continues.

By region, there were 1,456 cases in the metropolitan area alone, including 732 in Seoul, and 77% of all domestic infections were concentrated in the metropolitan area.

An additional 415 people were also infected in non-metropolitan areas, including 47 in Daegu and 46 in Gangwon.

The fourth pandemic continues for two and a half months, and the number of confirmed cases in the four digits is not decreasing.

The number of patients with severe severe cases increased to 333 by adding 4 a day yesterday.

There is a high possibility that the infection will spread to non-metropolitan areas along the large-scale population movement line during the Chuseok holiday, raising concerns about the nationwide re-spreading.

[Jeon Hae-cheol/Minister of Public Administration and Security: I ask that you strictly follow the quarantine rules and minimize the time of gatherings as well as restraint of movement in the spirit of protecting my family during the holiday period.] As of

Of these, about 22.12 million people have completed the vaccination, which is about 43% of the total population.
