During the Park Geun-hye administration, former Blue House senior civil affairs chief Woo Byung-woo was sentenced to one year in prison for acquiescing to state affairs and conducting illegal inspections through the National Intelligence Service.
The 3rd division of the Supreme Court (Chief Justice Heung-gu Lee) confirmed the lower court sentenced to one year in prison today (16th) against former Chief Woo Woo, who was handed over to trial on charges such as obstruction of exercise of right.
The Supreme Court said, "The accused conspired with Choo Myung-ho, former director of the National Intelligence Service of the National Intelligence Service, to abuse his authority, and obstructed the exercise of his right to abuse his right to have the National Intelligence Service employees collect and report information about the Blue House special inspectorate and the former Pyeongchang Winter Olympics organizing committee. We confirmed the lower court that only the charges of indictment were found guilty."
