TikTok announced a suite of features on Tuesday to help users struggling with mental health issues and suicidal thoughts.

Among other things, the platform comes with a more extensive guide to eating disorders.

TikTok has collaborated with various aid organizations that specialize in this area.

In addition, a feature will be introduced that directs users to local support, such as a helpline, when searching for terms such as suicide.

The new features should be rolled out globally in the coming months.

“We care deeply about our community and are always looking for new ways to improve the wellbeing of our users, so we're taking extra steps to make it easier for people to find help on TikTok when they need it.” the platform said.
