One day before the notice of a general strike by the Seoul Transportation Corporation's labor union, which operates subway lines 1 to 8, the two sides will hold the final main negotiations today (the 13th).

Earlier, the management proposed a intensive restructuring plan, including a 10% reduction in the number of employees and a wage freeze.

On the other hand, the union is demanding that the government and Seoul provide additional financial support to withdraw the unilateral restructuring and solve the fundamental deficit.

As only differences in positions between the two sides were revealed during the five rounds of negotiations, there is growing concern that the Seoul subway strike will become a reality.
