A man in his 60s, who was arrested on charges of killing a woman in his 30s, and then abandoning the body, died in prison after making an extreme choice.

According to the Jeonju District Prosecutor's Office and the Jeonbuk National Police Agency on the 13th, a 69-year-old man who was imprisoned at the Jeonju Prison was found in cardiac arrest around 2 a.m. on the same day.

A was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, but eventually died.

It is known that Mr. A left a will containing the contents of 'I am sorry'.

A was arrested and sent to the prosecution on the 2nd on the charge of killing a 39-year-old woman B at a lodging facility in Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do on the 15th of last month and leaving her body.

At that time, B's family reported missing, saying, "Mr. B, who went on a trip, said 'I'll come back tomorrow' and hasn't returned." The police pursuit began.

In the process of tracing Mr. B's movement, the police identified Mr. A, who came into contact with Mr. B and overlapped with him, as a possible suspect, and on the 24th of last month, he was urgently arrested in Damyang.

The police secured evidence of the appearance of Mr. A, who went in with Mr. B, dragging a sleeping bag into the back seat of the vehicle from the CCTV video around the accommodation, and Mr. B told his husband, "I will invest in real estate on the day of the incident before meeting Mr. A. He also confirmed that he received 200 million won in cash.

In response to this, Mr. A is said to have denied the charges, saying, "It is true that he met Mr. B, but there is no fact that he killed or abandoned the body."

However, the police believed that money had flowed between the two people, and the investigation proceeded with the possibility of committing a crime due to a financial problem open, and an arrest warrant for Mr. A was requested.

B's body was found in a severely decomposed state near Haeam Bridge in Yeongam Lake, about 30 km away from the accommodation where the incident took place on the 1st.

The police have requested an autopsy to the National Forensic Service to determine the exact cause of B's death.
