Typhoon No. 14 'Chantu' is heading north to Korea than expected.

The Korea Meteorological Administration believes that it will pass through the sea between the southern coast and Jeju Island and escape into the Korea Strait.

On Jeju Island, rain is expected to start tonight, with up to 500 millimeters of rain expected to fall through Wednesday.



On Thursdays and Fridays, when typhoons pass through the southern seas, rain spreads throughout the country, but strong winds and heavy rain may come in the southern regions.




As the typhoon unusually stays near Shanghai for three days, its path and force are still in flux.
