Recently, the issue of atrocities in the military is being re-examined, but suspicions have been raised that the compulsory police suffered verbal abuse and harassment. The perpetrators were incumbent police officers. Inspection investigation has begun.

Reporter Park Chan-beom covered it.

<Reporter> This

is a handwritten statement written by about 10 police officers belonging to the Incheon Jungbu Police Station.

The harassment and verbal abuse that he allegedly suffered a month or two ago are detailed.

Those identified as the perpetrators are incumbent police officers, who are commanding officers of the crime prevention patrol unit in charge of directing and supervising the police officers.

There are also reports that police officers stood up until dawn past bedtime because they needed education, and that they took over the duty of the police themselves.

[Victim Police Officer: (Police) The superiors have to go around to monitor and investigate unusual matters, but we (police police) will collect all of them and give them directly, and (the police) only sign autographs like this… .]

It is the assertion of the police officers that abusive language was a daily occurrence amidst such harassment.

[Victim Police Officer: Drinking, coming out of the hallway, kicking the crew and grabbing the hair… .]

Some operators reported this to the unit two months ago.

At that time, about half of the 100 police officers belonging to the unit wrote a damage statement, but there was no improvement action, so we decided to ask an outside organization for help.

[Victim Police Officer: No action or change has taken place, so it is safe to say that it was ignored.] The

police officers informed the Human Rights Coalition of this matter, and it became known to the outside as the Human Rights Coalition delivered a statement of damage to the police.

[Chang-Ik Oh / Secretary General of the Solidarity for Human Rights: In particular, the police are law enforcement officials, so they must act according to the law and the manual. But it's voluntary. It's totally bullshit. You are a serious human rights violation.] The

Incheon Police Agency went into inspection to check the damage written in the statement.
