A man accused of breaking into a women's gositel, smelling shoes and stealing several pairs of women's shoes, has been arrested by the police.

On the 6th, the Busan Police Agency released a video of a man caught on CCTV at the entrance to a women-only gositel located in Nam-gu, Busan through its official Facebook page.

The man in the video appeared in a women-only gositel at dawn when there were few people and was rummaging through the shoe cabinets in the hallway.

Then, he put the women's shoes in the shoe closet to his nose, sniffed them, put them back into the closet, and then took out another shoe and sniffed it, repeating the journey several times.

The man is accused of stealing five pairs of shoes and running away.

Busan Nambu Police Station is known to have started an investigation after receiving a 112 report that the shoes kept disappearing from the women-only gositel.

The police traced the movement of the man who committed the theft through CCTV analysis, identified the residence, and arrested him.

Several pairs of women's shoes, including sneakers and shoes, were found in the man's home.

A police official said, "There is a possibility of destroying evidence, so the man was urgently arrested, and the investigation is ongoing without detention."

Regarding the detailed motive of the crime, he said, "I can't confirm the specifics because it is an unfinished matter."

Currently, the video has been deleted from the official SNS of the Busan Metropolitan Police Agency.
