The first trial of Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong, which was scheduled to be held on the 7th, has been postponed for a month.



Judge Jang Young-chae of the 11th Criminal Division of the Seoul Central District Court changed the first trial date of Vice Chairman Lee on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act to the 12th of next month.



Previously, Vice Chairman Lee's lawyers filed an application for a change in the trial date with the court on the 3rd.



This is the second time the trial has been delayed, and the court has postponed the first trial, which was scheduled to be held on the 19th of last month, once.



Vice Chairman Lee is accused of illegally habitually administering propofol at a plastic surgery clinic in Gangnam, Seoul.



Prosecutors initially indicted Vice Chairman Lee in brief, but based on the results of the investigation, it was determined that there was a possibility of a change of the indictment, so he requested an official hearing, and the court accepted it.
