was revealed that the September college entrance exam mock test papers held last week were 'preliminarily leaked' from Gyeongnam. A high school student confessed to secretly taking pictures of the exam papers at school, but the school did not understand the situation.

<Reporter> The

allegations of leaking of test papers for the September college entrance exam have been revealed to be true.

The suspicion raised to the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education that the mock evaluation test papers of the Korea Curriculum Evaluation Institute were leaked at least 7 hours earlier is likely to have occurred in Gyeongnam.

The Gyeongnam Office of Education said that it had informed the homeroom teacher that a high school senior in Gyeongnam had leaked the mock evaluation test papers.

[Choi Byung-hun/Director of School Policy Bureau, Gyeongnam Office of Education: A third-year high school student has contacted the homeroom teacher saying that he is the person responsible for the leak of the world geography issue of the September mock assessment.]

This student

brought

things to school about 10 o'clock the night before the test

.

He said that he had come to pick it up and accidentally filmed a test paper in the counseling room on the first floor, secretly restored it, and then fled.

However, the school didn't even know that a student had broken in, didn't even lock the door to the counseling room, and didn't even know about leaking the problem paper beforehand.

[Choi Byung-hun / Director of School Policy, Gyeongnam Office of Education: It was completely restored, so even the teachers did not recognize it. (What does it mean exactly?) They didn't recognize the signs of being ripped off normally.]

The Office of Education explained that the mock evaluation results do not have any effect on recruitment, etc.

However, other than student statements, it is not possible to even understand the exact situation.

The distrust and anxiety of test takers and parents are bound to grow even more over who, how much, and whether it was leaked like this in other evaluations other than this one.
