Moderna received a visit from the Korean government delegation protesting the disruption in the supply of vaccines last month, and promised to send 7.01 million doses by the first week of September.

Of these, 1.10 million episodes arrived on the 23rd of last month, but the remaining 6 million episodes were troubled because detailed plans were not known.

1021,000 doses of Moderna vaccine arrived at Incheon Airport this afternoon.

The government said that a small addition to the remaining 4979,000 servings will arrive by this weekend at 12 million servings a day from tomorrow.

[Kim Ki-Nam / Head of Vaccination Planning Team, Vaccination Promotion Team: The rest will be introduced sequentially in Korea by this weekend. Specific supply date and quantity will be announced after shipment is confirmed (to be announced.)] Due to the

delay in introduction of the vaccine by moderators, the inoculation plan is also disrupted, such as extending the inoculation interval between the first and second mRNA vaccines from 4 weeks to 6 weeks. It was made.

So there were concerns about the goal of completing the first vaccination for 70% of the people and 36 million people before Chuseok, but if the promise is kept by this weekend, it will be possible to achieve the goal.

As of 00:00 today, the cumulative number of first doses is about 29.45 million, because 6 million doses of Moderna are added to the existing vaccines such as AstraZeneca and Pfizer currently in progress.

Here in Romania, a total of 1.05 million servings will arrive by the 8th.

A plan to shorten the inoculation cycle of mRNA vaccine back to 4 weeks is also being considered as the supply of vaccines is freed up.
