1,961 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 were added yesterday (1st).
1,927 cases were domestic infections, excluding 34 imported cases.
By region, there were 1,363 confirmed cases in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon alone.
An additional 564 people were also infected in non-metropolitan areas, including 93 in Chungnam and 66 in Daegu.
The number of patients with stomach and severe cases being treated for COVID-19 is 371, 28 fewer than the previous day, but 11 more deaths were added in one day, resulting in 2,303 deaths so far.
According to the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC), about 29.45 million people have been vaccinated against COVID-19, and 16.28 million of them have been vaccinated, accounting for 31.7% of the total population.
