The Supreme Prosecutor's Office is confirming the facts regarding the report that the prosecution had asked an opposition lawmaker to file a complaint against passport personnel during the tenure of former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol.



The Supreme Prosecutor's Office said, "We are checking the facts about the report by the Internet media company News Bus."



The Supreme Prosecutor's Office, who reported that News Bus delivered the accusation letter through an online article on the 2nd, said, "It's not true."



Earlier, the Internet media company 'News Bus' reported today that in early April last year, when former President Yoon was in office, the Supreme Prosecutor's Office of Investigation and Information Policy sent to Rep. It was reported that Hwang Hee-seok delivered a letter of indictment containing the names of candidates such as the proportional representative of the Open Democratic Party at the time.



The charges written in the complaint were violations of the Public Official Election Act (crimes of illegal use of broadcasting and newspapers, etc.) and violations of the Information and Communications Network Act (defamation).
