Suspect A (69), who was arrested on charges of murdering and abandoning a woman in his 30s, whom he had known, denied the charges, saying, "I did not kill."

In the process of being sent to the Jeonju District Prosecutors' Office on the afternoon of the 2nd, Mr. A covered his face with a handcuffs and was asked a question from the reporters and said:

Then, when asked, "Then who killed him?", he briefly replied, "I don't know."

He did not respond to questions such as “Is it because of the money” or “Are you sorry for the victim?”

During the police investigation, he stubbornly denied the allegations and refused to state the motive of the crime and the circumstances of the incident.

Mr. A was soon led by the detectives into the prosecutor's office.

The prosecution plans to continue the investigation, focusing on areas that have not yet been revealed.

A is suspected of killing B (39, female) at a lodging establishment in Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do around 8 pm on the 15th, and then abandoning the body around Yeongam Lake 30 km away.

He was found to have put the body wrapped in a sleeping bag in the trunk of a car and moved to an abandoned area.

The police found the body of Mr. B caught in the bushes after 6 days while searching the Muan and Yeongam areas, which are the moving lines of Mr. A's vehicle, since the 26th.

The police commissioned an autopsy to the National Forensic Service to confirm the cause of death.

Mr. A is refusing to testify, but the police assume that the crime was due to a money dispute, considering that Mr. B met Mr. A on July 29 with 220 million won received from her husband.

However, as there are no traces such as account transaction details, the whereabouts of the large amount are unclear.
