Fortunately, Jeju Island, where typhoon Ohmais passed by last night (23rd), has not received any major damage yet. However, caution is required as the rainy weather is expected to continue due to the influence of the rainy season front.

Reporter Lee Hyo-young of JIBS delivers.

Lightning strikes nonstop in the dark sky.

It's midnight, but when lightning strikes, the surroundings light up.

The rain was getting weaker and the wind was fading, but this is when Typhoon Omais, the 12th typhoon, was closest to Jeju.

According to the forecast, the time is now when Typhoon Ohmais is closest to Jeju, and rain and wind accompanied by lightning are blowing, but as the power of the typhoon is greatly weakened, Jeju is gradually getting out of the sphere of influence.

Typhoon Ohmais turned more east than expected, but as it got closer to Jeju, the clouds dispersed and escaped northeast without maintaining its power.

Typhoon Ohmais did not have a major impact on Jeju, but it caused major disruptions in the sky and sea roads of Jeju.

All passenger ships connected to Jeju were controlled by the afternoon, and nearly 100 flights to Jeju were canceled or delayed.

At Jeju International Airport, tourists with reduced schedules and other flights continued to come.

[Cha Hae-ri / Yeosu-si, Jeollanam-do: I'm going to Yeosu right now, but a typhoon came and the flight could be canceled, so I'm waiting at the airport early now. I have a schedule for tomorrow, but I'm worried that I won't be able to go.]

No major damage from Typhoon Ohmais has been received yet.

However, since the autumn rainy season, which is close to heavy rain, has continued in Jeju recently, and rain is forecast in the future, we cannot slow down the tension.
