Hyung-wook Moon (24), who was handed over to trial for producing and distributing sexual exploitation videos while operating the telegram chat room 'Room n', was also sentenced to a heavy sentence at the appeals court.

Daegu High Court's Criminal Division 1-3 (Chief Judge Seong-wook Jeong) dismissed both the defendant and the prosecution's appeal in the appeal against Hyung-wook Moon, who was charged with violating the Act on the Protection of Children and Youth on the 19th.

Moon Hyung-wook was sentenced to 34 years in prison, 10 years of disclosure of personal information, 10 years of employment restrictions at organizations related to children and adolescents, and 30 years of wearing an electronic location tracking device (electronic anklet) in the first trial at the Andong Branch of the Daegu District Court and appealed.

The court said, "The defendant committed a crime against children and youth, and the method was very poor and violated the dignity and value of human beings."

"Even considering that the accused admitted the crime and agreed with some of the victims, it is difficult to see that the sentence sentenced by the lower court is too heavy or too light, beyond the reasonable scope of its discretion, as long-term isolation from society is necessary due to severe punishment." .

In June of last year, the prosecution applied and handed over 12 charges to Hyung-wook Moon, including violation of the Child and Youth Sexual Protection Act and special injury.

As a result of the prosecution's investigation, it was revealed that he had 21 child and juvenile victims film their own sexual exploitation videos 1,275 times from January 2017 to the beginning of last year, then received and produced and possessed them.

In addition, from September 2018 to March 2019, he threatened to distribute sexual exploitation videos to three parents of victims.

In November 2018, he is also accused of having two victims engraved certain words on their bodies with a weapon.

In particular, from February 2019 to January last year, it was found that 3,762 sexual exploitation videos were uploaded and distributed in the Telegram chat room (room n) opened under the nickname ‘God God’.

From September 2018 to July 2019, he collected personal information by sending a link to a fake social networking service (SNS) login page to eight victims and used it to break into the SNS accounts of four people.

In the course of the investigation, it was also revealed during the investigation that he made sexual exploitation videos or attempted sexual exploitation after cooperating with six accomplices to sexually assault or sexually assault children or young people.
