A 20-year-old man has been sentenced to prison for assaulting his ex-girlfriend and then beating his 6-year-old daughter while crying.

Incheon District Court Criminal 2nd Independent Judge Yeon-jin Lee announced today (18th) that A (26, male), who was charged with child abuse under the Injury and Child Welfare Act, was sentenced to three years in prison.

The judge also ordered Mr. A to complete 40 hours of a child abuse treatment program and restricted him from working at child-related organizations for three years.

On January 21, this year, at around 0:10, in a house in Seo-gu, Incheon, Mr. A was charged with assaulting and hurting his girlfriend B (24, female) by slapped her on the cheek, grabbed her hair, and threw it out of the veranda. That's it.

Mr. A struck Ms. C's hand and arm with a hanger in the house when her daughter C (6), who was watching the assault at the time, cried and shouted, "Don't do it."

He also assaulted and injured Mr. B's face and body with fists and feet at the same place around 10:00 pm on January 22, the next day.

It was investigated that Mr. A hit the head of Ms. C with her fist, who was crying and shouting "don't do it" at this time as well.

"The victims have suffered serious physical and mental damage, and it seems that it will take a long time to recover," the judge said.
