Our government delegation, who went to the headquarters of Moderna in the US to discuss the issue of vaccine supply, made the announcement. The plan is to increase the supply of vaccines in August and September of this year and to advance the schedule.

40 million doses of vaccine contracted with Moderna, about 2.45 million doses, or 6%, came into Korea.



Among the 1.96 million servings that did not arrive at the end of July, the government delegation requested prompt supply to Moderna, the remaining 660,000 servings excluding the 1.3 million that arrived on the 7th, and the promised 8.5 million servings in August.



Moderna previously notified that it was unable to supply more than half of the 8.5 million servings.



The government demanded that the vaccine, which was delayed in July and August, be supplied as soon as possible and increase the quantity.

SBS Reporting Results Moderna has documented that it will supply more than 4.25 million servings, more than the revised notice within this month.



Our government has requested again more than the amount suggested by Moderna and is awaiting an answer.

In addition, apart from the negotiations with Moderna, we decided to actively review the exchange or donation method of vaccines with other countries to ensure a stable supply of vaccines.
