Amazon Prime Video.V, the evil Diana and the lizards series that swept through the 80s
Humor. 5 comedy series to keep laughing this summer
For those who have not had time to 'see it all', August may be a good time to
review the best series of this year
... so far.
Raised by Wolves
,
Ted Lasso
,
Mare of Easttown
or
Them
are some that you can take back this vacation.
MARE OF EASTTOWN (HBO Spain)
Kate Winslet
has succeeded fully with this
police thriller that hides a well-woven family drama
.
Her bitter local police character places her among the best performances seen in an actress who knows what it's like to win over audiences.

LOST FAX (TNT)
Bob Pop
is a writer, journalist, analyst, critic and intellectual reference for many people who tells his story in a series in which a
gay boy
is shown
in search of his own identity
.
A
dramedia
with Candela Peña and Miguel Rellán
that filled social networks with good reviews at the time and is already triumphing in Latin America.
THEM (Amazon Prime Video)
An
African-American family is harassed
by their neighbors in a luxurious Los Angeles development in the 1950s. This is how this production could be defined and it could seem like a drama.
Nothing of that.
Details that escape logic and a
lot of bad vibes
make this one of the
best horror series
seen this year.
There are scenes with a
tension that is not suitable for all audiences.

TED LASSO (APPLE TV +)
If there is
a series capable of lifting the spirits of the most downcast person in
the world, it is this comedy about a very peculiar coach of an English football team.
Jason Sudeikis knows how to generate enthusiasm and sympathy
with a character who seems very naive but who teaches us to get out of trouble with a smile.
And that the games are played and fought until the last minute.
BLESSED PATIENCE (HBO Spain)
Martin Freeman
(
Sherlock
,
The Hobbit
) and
Daisy Haggard
give life to a couple whose children lead them to live situations they never imagined the day they decided to unite their destinies.
A
comedy that shatters many myths about parenthood
with well-measured gags and a
modern
British
twist
.

IRON (Movistar +)
In her second season,
Candela Peña
has literally embroidered her character in a
police drama
with a background (the impressive island of El Hierro) that is worth highlighting.
And a lot.
Candela Peña's interpretive duels with
Dario Grandinetti
and the numerous luxury secondary players (Mónica López in the first batch of episodes and Enrique Alcides in the second, for example) are a
luxury that must be enjoyed calmly.
THE INNOCENT (Netflix)
Mario Casas
, a mystery to be solved, a very careful production and an idea by Harlan Coben, a successful thriller writer.
On these four points (and some more, such as the presence of
Aura Garrido, Alexandra Jiménez, José Coronado, Juana Acosta or Miki Esparbé
) revolves a story that hooks, with a script that doses the surprises and with the direction of the box office owner Oriol Paulo.
And what is it all about?
Better to let go.
In a few minutes it catches you completely ...
KINGS OF THE NIGHT (Movistar +)
In this fun and crazy comedy, the references to the
José Ramón De la Morena-José María García duel
are constant ... although it is not always so easy to draw parallels between reality and fiction.
This is how peculiar this production is in which two
companions from the night radio
(one, at first, the boss of another) star in a duel to get the audience caught.
Great
Miki Esparbé and Javier Gutiérrez, with Itsaso Arana
as the third pillar of a success this year.
LOKI (Disney +)
Loki is back.
Tom Hiddleston
stars in this series that expands the
Marvel Cinematic Universe
and opens new horizons to the delirium of his fans.
Those responsible have been so satisfied that they have already announced that there will be new episodes in which
time travel will
allow us to imagine all kinds of adventures.

RAISED BY WOLVES (HBO Spain)
With
Ridley Scott behind as creator and producer
, this series moves away from the usual in science fiction stories to place itself in a place where
science and religion intersect again and again.
That, without leaving aside the frenetic action scenes and an ending that bears the clear stamp of the genius of
Alien
or
Blade Runner
.

THE SNAKE (Netflix)
Tahar Rahim
(
A Prophet
) appears as the protagonist along with
Jenna Coleman
in a series based on real events set in the 70s. At that time, the two characters that these actors give life to were placed as
'number one' suspects of several crimes committed in Southeast Asia
and whose victims were innocent tourists in search of their particular paradise on Earth.
