<It's my daughter's birthday, but the balance is 571 won... 'Pizza Mister'

that made the single-parent father cry

After losing his job, the baptism of 'don't chung' (a compound word of money and soul) is continuing in the story of the owner of a pizza shop in Incheon who gifted a free pizza to a single-parent father who was celebrating his daughter's birthday.

Today (13th), at a chicken and pizza shop in Mansu-dong, Namdong-gu, Incheon, the phone to order has been ringing continuously since morning.

Hwang Mo (32), the owner of the store, is busy with the constant influx of phone calls.

Two employees from the franchise headquarters also came out to help with sales and supply of ingredients.

It was late yesterday evening that a small shop in a cramped neighborhood alley had a sudden phone call and order procession.

The story of Mr. Hwang, who gladly gifted a free pizza to a single-parent father who was celebrating his 7-year-old daughter's birthday after losing his job, was reported by SBS.

Mr. Hwang recalled last weekend when pizza orders came in through a delivery application.

There was a desperate note from a single parent who said, 'I'm raising my 7-year-old daughter by myself, but I don't have money right now' and 'I will give you money right away on the 20th when I receive the basic living allowance.'

Seeing this, Mr. Hwang changed the order from 'Meet and pay by card' to 'Payment completed' on the slip and delivered the pizza with cheese balls as a service.

In the box containing the pizza, 'Don't be shy, and if your daughter wants to eat pizza, please contact me."

Hwang, who has been operating this branch for a year and six months, said, "I was a customer who ordered twice at our store before.

He continued, "I wanted to pass on a short memo, so I had a part-timer write this." "I did it without much thought, but after it was over, I felt like 'I'll give you something else'".

Mr. Hwang said, "I get 10 calls a day, but I'm so startled that I've been getting calls since yesterday." He laughed.

As this story became known, as of this morning, nearly 900 comments were posted on a map application review column that predicted money.

This kind of money-jumping case, which started with the purpose of encouraging good deeds, has recently continued all over the country.

Earlier this year, a restaurant in Mapo-gu, which gave free chicken to a brother in need, temporarily closed its business as orders flooded in.

It was announced that a pasta shop in Mapo-gu, Seoul had also provided free food to undernourished children since 2019, and citizens' encouragement poured in.
