Today (12th), there was a fire in an apartment building.

A man who was hanging from a window on the 7th floor to escape the fire saved his life by falling onto a blanket spread by a neighbor.

A man is dangling narrowly from a window railing, from which black smoke is constantly pouring out.

Seeing the residents evacuating in a hurry and the man hanging on the railing, he turned and went back into the house to get a blanket.

Unfold the blanket and prepare for an unexpected fall.

Eventually, shortly thereafter, the man fell from the 7th floor and, fortunately, fell precisely onto the duvet, dramatically saving his life.

[Yoon Seon-min / Paramedic: When we arrived, consciousness and breathing were clear, and only complained of chest and back pain. Apparently, the shock was alleviated when the residents accepted it as a blanket (it seems to have saved their life.)] The

residents of the apartment were not the only ones doing this.

With one house burned down, residents helped each other to evacuate by knocking on the doors of each house in the process of escaping.

A total of 13 residents were taken to the hospital due to smoke inhalation.

Among them were many residents who risked their lives and escaped late to inform residents of the fire.

[Min Kim/Apartment resident: I came out talking with my family, and the people who came out like that also shouted that there was a fire.] It

took 5 minutes for 119 to arrive at the scene after receiving a fire report.

More casualties could have been prevented thanks to the quicker actions of the residents.
