The head of the Minsaeng Judicial Police Department, which oversees the enforcement of COVID-19 quarantine rules in Seoul, was caught violating quarantine rules and received a standby order.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced today (11th) that Mr. A, the head of the Minsaeng Judicial Police Team, was informed last weekend that he had violated the quarantine rules.

Director A had a dinner party at a restaurant with a total of 8 people at the end of last month, including 7 former subordinates who worked together in the 'Single Household Special Measures Task Force (TF)', which he belonged to just before the end of last month.

Since the 12th of last month, the Seoul Metropolitan Government has issued an administrative order banning private gatherings of more than three people after 6 pm in accordance with the 4th level of social distancing.

Director A was promoted to level 3 (director level) earlier this year and took on the role of the head of the People's Livelihood Justice Police Group, and in April, he moved to the position of the head of the special measures TF team for single-person households, and returned to the position of leader from HR on the 9th of last month.
