TikTok could soon join the fashion, which has become essential, of stories.

The social network has indeed announced that it is testing the integration of stories in its application.

The information was first revealed on Twitter by Matt Navarra, a consultant specializing in social networks, reports

01Net on

Thursday.

The news was then confirmed by TikTok.

However, the social network has not indicated whether this new function will be definitively accessible to all users of its application at the end of this test.

Because the experiment is currently being carried out within a small group of users, also reports the specialized site.

A complement to the other functions already offered by TikTok

This story format is obviously not new since it was invented by Snapchat and then reused by several social networks, such as Instagram and Facebook.

Thus, TikTok Stories allow users to post short content, which disappears after 24 hours.

This new function, which is currently being tested, would quite simply be a complement to the others already offered by the platform.

In addition, this TikTok Stories test was launched just as Twitter decided to drop its ephemeral messaging format, the Fleets, for lack of popularity with its users.

A feature that ended on August 3.
