  According to the China Automobile Dealers Association, judging from the sub-indices that make up the auto consumption index, the demand sub-index in July 2021 was 75.9, a slight increase from the previous month.

  According to analysis, in the second quarter, China’s auto market was affected by a shortage of chips, order delivery was delayed, and demand could not be fully realized; as manufacturers’ production capacity resumes, market demand will gradually be released.

In addition, as the school season begins in September, the demand for family cars will increase.

  The sub-index of shop visits in July was 68.6, a decrease from the previous month.

The epidemic broke out in some areas at the end of July, and the number of consumers entering the store decreased.

  In addition, the purchase sub-index in July was 74.3, and it is expected that the actual purchase intention of consumers in August will increase from the previous month.

  The China Automobile Dealers Association stated that as the chip problem has been alleviated, the production capacity of manufacturers has gradually recovered, and the supply of mainstream models of various brands has begun to recover, and the previously suppressed market demand will gradually be released.

At the same time, the Ministry of Commerce recently proposed to focus on the entire chain to promote automobile consumption, which will also help the growth of automobile consumption in the second half of the year.

Based on the above factors, it is expected that the sales volume in the Chinese market in August will increase compared with that in July.
