Such an order was given to RSC Energia, which “with cooperation” will additionally analyze the ISS segment and take the necessary organizational and technical measures.
This work will be carried out while a new orbital station is being created and a scenario for the completion of the ISS operation is being developed.
The instruction is due to the fact that the further operation of the Russian segment of the ISS after 2024 creates additional risks due to the aging of the station equipment.
In addition, the council recommended that the state corporation make a decision to start a technical study of the design of the new ROSS orbital station.
