As of 9 o'clock last night (July 31), there were 1,379 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the country.



At the same time yesterday, 41 fewer than 1,420 and 17 fewer than 1,396 as of 9 pm last Saturday night.



There were 950 cases in the metropolitan area, including 459 in Seoul, and 429 cases in non-metropolitan areas, including 74 in Gyeongnam.



As of 0:00 today, the number of new confirmed cases to be announced is expected to be in the mid-to-late 1,400 range.



The 4th step in the metropolitan area and the 3rd step in the non-metropolitan area will end on the 8th, next Sunday, but the number of confirmed cases has continued to four-digit for the 26th day and is not decreasing.



If the spread of the virus does not subside by this week, the government plans to review additional measures to strengthen quarantine measures such as extending the current stage and shortening business hours.
