According to the agency, by now the engines of Nauka have been turned off.

It is clarified that the astronauts on the American segment from the Houston mission control center were informed about the "tug of war" between the engines of the Nauka module and the Zvezda service module.

In this case, the service module “perceptibly compensates for the situation,” and the error in the position of the station in space decreases.

To compensate, the cosmonauts turned on the engines of the Progress MS-17 cargo vehicle docked to the Poisk module.

Roscosmos explained that the specialists are currently working with fuel residues in the Science module.

“The process of transferring the“ Science ”module from the flight mode to the“ docked with ISS ”mode is in progress.

Work is underway with the remaining fuel in the module, ”the state corporation told TASS.

According to the NASA announcer, the crew was not endangered.

No damage was done to the station.

On July 29, the Nauka multipurpose laboratory module successfully docked to the International Space Station.

The carrier rocket "Proton-M" with the module was launched on July 21 from Baikonur.
