It was belatedly known that the bereaved family of the late former Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon filed an administrative lawsuit against the National Human Rights Commission of Korea, which determined that former mayor Park had sexually harassed him.

At the end of April, the late Mayor Park Won-soon's wife filed an administrative lawsuit against the National Human Rights Commission of Korea seeking an annulment of the decision that Mayor Park committed sexual abuse," said Jeong Cheol-seung, a lawyer for the bereaved family.

Lawyer Jung said, "At the time, my wife filed a lawsuit directly without any help from others, but now I am going to take charge of the case."

Lawyer Jung also revealed this in a post on social networking service (SNS), expressing his doubts about the decision of the Human Rights Commission.

As a result of an ex officio investigation into former Mayor Park's sexual harassment allegations in January, the Human Rights Commission determined that 'some of the sexual words and actions he made toward the victim are true and constitute sexual harassment.'

In an SNS post, lawyer Jeong said, "The Human Rights Commission has only partially accepted the claims of the women victims." "Even according to the claims of the victims, Mayor Park has never committed sexual violence such as rape or forced molestation. Usually, sexual harassment is an issue. It's just that," he claimed.

Lawyer Jeong wrote, "I cannot help but have deep doubts whether the fact that Chairman Choi Young-ae is the godfather of the Korea Sexual Violence Counseling Center has something to do with the unreasonable decision of the Human Rights Commission."

Choi Young-ae, chairman of the Human Rights Committee, established the Korea Sexual Violence Counseling Center in 1991 and served as its first director.

The family of former mayor Park is also pursuing a defamation lawsuit against a reporter for the JoongAng Daily, who mentioned in the article that former mayor Park committed sexual violence.

Lawyer Jung said, "I plan to file a defamation lawsuit next week."
