It has been confirmed that Kim Si-nam (46), an accomplice in the murder of a middle school student in Jeju, took part in the crime to gain 11 million won.

According to the Jeju Eastern Police Station, Kim and Baek Gwang-seok (48) broke into a house in Jocheon-eup, Jeju-si at 3:16 pm on the 18th and killed B (16), the middle school student son of Baek’s ex-wife.

After escaping from the crime scene, Kim first moved to a nearby automated teller machine (AMT) and transferred 5 million won to his account with the check card he received from Baek.

Then, he paid a total of about 1 million won with three of Baek's credit cards at an entertainment pub he ran.

Kim was also forgiven 5 million won in debt owed to Baek.

As a result, Kim earned a total of 11 million won through debt relief, cash transfer, and credit card payment in return for helping the crime.

During the police investigation, Baek stated, "In exchange for helping the crime, he gave Kim his card and gave him the card password."

Baek said to Kim, "After the crime, I will make an extreme choice. If I make an extreme choice, there will be no witnesses and I will end up committing my own crime, so please help me."

But in the end, Baek was arrested by the police before making an extreme choice.

At the beginning of the investigation, Mr. Baek stated that it was "his own crime", but as the police continued to pour in evidence of planned crimes, such as buying tools together with Mr. Baek and Mr. Kim in advance, in the end, "Mr. Kim also killed the victim." took part in it,” he confessed.

Although Kim still denies some of the charges, the police are confident that they can prove that Kim is an accomplice in the murder based on Baek's statement and evidence of planned crimes.

Middle school student group B, the victim of the incident, was found dead in the attic by her mother who returned home on the evening of the incident with her hands and feet tied with packing tape.

As a result of the first autopsy, it was confirmed that he had suffocated by strangulation.

At the time, it was investigated that Baek stayed at the scene of the crime for three hours and tried to start a fire by applying cooking oil to various parts of the house.

The police believe that Baek committed the crime out of resentment when his relationship with the mother of group B, who was in a common-law relationship, broke down.

It has been confirmed that Baek has a criminal record of 10 criminals, including being punished as a retaliatory crime under the Act on Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes for committing several crimes against ex-lovers in the past.

It was found that Kim also had 10 criminal convictions, including rape and injury.
