On the 27th, the day after the government started a special inspection to establish public service discipline, an executive of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency was arrested for violating the law while intoxicated.



According to SBS coverage, the Seongbuk Police Station in Seoul is investigating the case without detaining Inspector A of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, a man in his 30s, on charges of special assault and property damage.



On the day of the incident, Inspector A, who was released from his position and transferred to a front-line police station in Seoul, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency began to investigate.



Inspector A is accused of assaulting a passing vehicle after getting drunk on a road in Dongsomun-ro, Seongbuk-gu, around 1 am on the 27th and then getting out of the vehicle.



He is also charged with smashing a vehicle by throwing a chair.



Police responded to the report and arrested Inspector A as a current criminal.



Immediately after the incident, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's hearing and auditing officer's office again issued an order emphasizing the establishment of discipline in public office.



It was emphasized again after sending out instructions during a special inspection to correct the slack in public service discipline for two weeks from the 26th to the 8th of the next month.



An official from the Seongbuk Police Station said, "We are grasping the specific circumstances through CCTV analysis." "We will investigate strictly according to the procedure."
