'Hamba King' Sang-bong Yoo, who broke the electronic anklet and fled, was arrested by the prosecution on the morning of the 27th, 15 days after his escape.
It is known that the investigation team of the Incheon District Prosecutors' Office arrested Yoo at a location in Sacheon-si, Gyeongnam this morning.
Prosecutors have secured Yoo's recruit and escorted him to the Incheon District Prosecutors' Office.
Yoo broke the electronic anklet on the 12th and fled.
Yoo was arrested and indicted on charges of violating the election law by falsely filing a false accusation against a competing candidate in the constituency of Rep. Yoon along with independent lawmaker Sang-hyun Yoon ahead of the general election last year, but was released on bail in April.
However, when the Supreme Court recently sentenced Yoo to one year in prison for another fraud charge, the investigative authorities understand that Yoo broke his electronic anklet and fled to avoid re-detention.
During the Lee Myung-bak administration, Mr. Yoo, who made a noise with his 'Hamba Gate', almost monopolized 'Hamba' at construction sites across the country, so he was called 'Hamba King'.
