Baek Gwang-seok (48) and accomplice Kim Si-nam (46), who were arrested on charges of murdering (murder) the middle school son of a woman who lived together in the past, were sent to the prosecution today (27th).
Baek and Kim left the detention center of the Jeju Eastern Police Station, where they were imprisoned at around 12:55 pm today, and exposed their faces to reporters.
It was decided to reveal the identity, but due to the Corona 19 situation, Baek and Kim, who came out wearing masks, did not take down their masks even when asked to show the reporters' faces.
In addition, Baek and Kim both wore hats, completely covering their faces.
When asked by reporters, "Do you admit that this was a planned crime?" and "Do you have anything to say to the bereaved family," Baek answered only "I'm sorry" and got into the prepared convoy.
When asked to take off the mask, Mr. Kim gave an annoyed answer, saying, "No, no," and then responded with silence to other questions.
Citizens around them raised their voices, saying, "Take off your mask," when these suspects appeared.
He also vomited his anger, saying, "How can two adults kill a middle school student?"
Baek is accused of breaking into a house in Jocheon-eup, Jeju-si at 3:16 pm on the 18th with Kim and murdering B (16), the son of Mr. A, who lives in this house.
Group B was found dead in the attic of the house around 10:50 pm on the day of the incident, with his hands and feet tied with blue tape.
At that time, B's mother, A, returned home from work and reported it to the police.
As a result of the first autopsy, group B was confirmed to have suffocated by strangulation.
In the first police investigation, Baek and others stated that they used the blue tape at the crime scene, but as a result of the investigation, it was found that the blue tape was purchased from outside.
In particular, it was confirmed that Baek stayed at home for three hours on the day of the crime and applied cooking oil all over the house.
As a result, there are also suspicions that Mr. Baek murdered group B and even killed the mother of group B, Mr. A, and then tried to set the fire.
The police believe that Baek killed his son, Gun B, out of resentment when his relationship with Mr. A, whom he was in a common-law relationship with, broke down.
During the police investigation, Baek admitted to the charges, but it is known that Kim, an accomplice, partially denies the charges, saying that he did not directly take part in the murder.
It has been confirmed that Baek has a criminal record of 10 criminals, including being punished as a retaliatory crime under the Act on Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes for committing several crimes against ex-lovers in the past.
