Gyeongnam Governor Kim Kyung-soo, who was handed over to trial for his involvement in the 'Drooking Comment Manipulation' case, will be sentenced by the Supreme Court today (21st).



The second part of the Supreme Court opens at 10:15 am today at 10:15 a.m., the trial of Governor Kim, who is accused of manipulating comments, is open.



Governor Kim was indicted on charges of manipulating public opinion with an automation program in order to win the election of President Moon Jae-in, the Democratic Party presidential candidate since November 2016, in collusion with the so-called 'Drooking' Kim Dong-won.



Governor Kim is also accused of continuing to manipulate comments until the 2017 local election with Kim, and offering Kim the post of consul general in Sendai, Japan.



The first trial judge pleaded guilty to all charges against Governor Kim, sentenced him to two years in prison for manipulating comments, and arrested Governor Kim in court.



He was sentenced to 10 months in prison and 2 years of probation for violating the Public Official Election Act.



However, the second trial judge only found guilty of manipulating the comments of Governor Kim and acquitted him of violating the Public Official Election Act.



The court sentenced Governor Kim, who had previously been released on bail, to two years in prison, but did not arrest him.
