In 2010, Mr. Yoo Sang-bong, the author of the so-called 'Hamba Gate', who lobbyed for money and money at the police chief, including the then Commissioner of Police.

Even after being sentenced to prison in this case, he lived with repeated imprisonment and release.

In the last parliamentary election, he was arrested and indicted again in September last year on charges of suing a rival candidate for receiving money to win the election of independent member Yoon Sang-hyun.

Yoo, who was undergoing trial, requested bail by complaining of a health condition of an elderly person in his mid-70s, and the court granted bail last April on condition of residence restrictions and wearing an electronic location tracking anklet.

Location-tracking anklets, which are required to be worn by sex offenders, are recently imposed by courts as a condition of granting bail.

However, on the 29th of last month, Yoo was again sentenced to one year in prison.

In 2014, the Supreme Court found guilty of stealing 89 million won by fraudulent operation of a Hamba at an apartment construction site in Ulsan.

Yoo, who had to go to prison again, did not comply with the Ministry of Justice's execution, and from the afternoon of yesterday (12th), a signal began to appear that the electronic anklet that Yoo had worn was damaged.

Ministry of Justice officials went to Yoo's address, but Mr. Yoo had already disappeared and the electronic anklet was cut off.

It is said that Yoo made an extreme choice to those around him right before he fell asleep.

The Seoul Northern District Prosecutors' Office is preparing for all possibilities and is tracking Mr. Yoo's whereabouts.
