sweltering heat accompanied by tropical nights is rampant. is a senior citizen's center in Seoul designated as a shelter from the sweltering heat.

This air-conditioned place is a useful space for seniors to escape the heat, but today (the 13th) it is closed.

This is because, as with other senior citizens’ centers, leisure facilities for the elderly are now closed due to the upgrade of the distance to level 4.

[Residents near Senior Citizens Hall: It's hot, but there is nowhere to go It's all closed, so where are you going? The elderly.]

This afternoon, mercury in Iksan, Jeollabuk-do and Gyeongju, Gyeongbuk exceeded 35 degrees, and Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi exceeded 34 degrees.

The North Pacific high pressure that creates the rainy season front is currently receding toward Japan, but as it gradually moves north, it is expected to rain in the south and Chungcheong on Sunday and across the country on Monday.

However, there is a possibility that this rain will be the end of the rainy season.

This is because the rainy season front may be pushed to the north by high pressure and then disappear.

If the tectonic rainy season ends quickly, next week will continue to be hot with over 33 degrees Celsius and tropical nights across the country.

This is because the high pressure in the North Pacific that is driving the sweltering heat and the hot high pressure developed in Tibet cover Korea at the same time.

It is similar to 2018, when the heat wave continued for a month and was recorded as the hottest year, but the Korea Meteorological Administration is in the position to wait a little longer to see if the heat wave will last as long as then.
