A man in his 20s who forcibly molested his successors and harassed them with cigarettes while serving in the military was sentenced to prison after being discharged from the military.



The 13th Criminal Division of the Incheon District Court (Chief Judge Ho Seong-ho) announced today (6th) that he sentenced A (24), who was charged with sexual assault and assault, to two years in prison.



The court also ordered A to complete a 40-hour sexual assault program and restricted him from working at child and youth-related organizations and welfare facilities for the disabled for three years each.



A was indicted on charges of forcibly molesting the chest of Corporal B (20) lying on a bed with both hands at a military base dormitory in Incheon between October and December 2019.



He was also accused of assaulting three of his successors from September 2019 to May last year, such as bringing a cigarette to the pants of Corporal B's combat uniform at the unit's smoking area.



Mr. A bullied his successors by telling them to smell his armpits, and threatened them while pretending to stab them with a weapon, saying, "If I stab myself, I go to prison and then I go and kill him."



In August of last year, 20 days after being discharged from the military, while driving a vehicle on a road in Seo-gu, Incheon, Mr. A had an argument with a female driver who had an argument, and then pulled out a 70 cm baseball bat from the trunk and threatened to hit it.
