There are about 300,000 people who will receive the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine starting tomorrow.

It is targeted to seniors aged 60 to 74 years who have not been able to make a reservation even after making a reservation because there is not enough AstraZeneca vaccine, and essential social workers under the age of 30 who have not been vaccinated due to concerns about the occurrence of 'rare thrombosis'.

Vaccinations will be held at immunization centers nationwide until the 17th, and all will receive the Pfizer vaccine.

However, those aged 60 to 74 who have canceled reservations or postponed vaccinations due to health reasons will receive the Moderna vaccine from the 26th.

The second dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine in the first half of the year will also start tomorrow.

As the recommended age of vaccination for AstraZeneca vaccine is changed from '30 years old' to '50 years old', people under 50 years old will be 'cross-vaccinated' with Pfizer vaccine.

In particular, the Pfizer vaccine, which was only available at vaccination centers, will be expanded to more than 2,000 consigned medical institutions, including hospitals and clinics, from the second half of the year, and it is expected that the remainder of the Pfizer vaccine will be released to the general public as early as tomorrow.

Residual vaccines can be checked and reserved through the Naver or Kakao app in the same way as before.

If vaccination proceeds smoothly in the second half of the year, the number of first-time vaccine recipients next month is expected to exceed 20 million, and the vaccination rate will rise to 40%.
